“Wow, that Annual Awards Banquet looked like a lot of fun! How do I earn points
toward Year-End Awards?”
Step 1. Become a member! Membership forms can be found in the Mane Tail on our website
here. You must be a member at the time you earn your points in order for them to
count toward Year-End Awards.
Step 2. Participate!
- Horse Shows: Accumulate points in the Division or Divisions of your choice—there
are over 15 to choose from—or rack up the Ambassador Points just by showing up! HRC
also recognizes things like Senior horse of the year, the horse with the most points,
and much more at the Annual Banquet!
- Trail Rides: HRC sponsored pleasure rides and outside organized rides can both count
for Milestone Points.
- Parades: Parade participants earn Year-End ribbons and qualify for Ambassador Points
and Milestone Points!
- Versatility Competitions: Earn points by participating in our newest type of event.
- Clinics: HRC sponsored clinics and outside organized clinics can both count toward
Ambassador Points.
- Other events… you can count participation in publicly advertised equine events toward
your Ambassador Points!
Step 3. Turn in your points
- Division points from horse shows, parade participation and versatility points will
be kept track of by the Club. You don’t have to do a thing.
- Ambassador Points and Milestone Points must be turned in monthly in order for you
and/or your horse to accumulate points. Please use the appropriate log sheets.
In addition, you may submit an application for the HRC Scholarship, or nominate someone
for the Chatas King Billy award which are also presented at the Annual Banquet!
