| *****IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE SHOW MANAGER**** It has come to my attention that some people may be misinterpreting the HRC horse show rules. I do not want to point fingers but rather reinforce the rules' intentions and specifications and also offer this opportunity for people to align themselves with the rules. This will be considered a blanket warning for all and if it comes to my attention that someone has chosen to continue to disregard the HRC Rules and Regulations then further actions will be taken. In the Rules and Regulations it states: 3. Walk/trot- walk/trot divisions for riders who cannot canter or lope, or a rider/horse combination that has never cantered or loped at any show or on any show grounds. 8. Green horse- a walk/trot class for “green” horses who are in their 1st or 2nd season of showing. These horses are not eligible for any other divisions with the exception of Driving, Leadline, Costume and walk/trot games. Rider may enter individually where eligible. Horses in this division have never cantered at any show. I would like to specify that these rules include ALL competitive equine events/shows. If you are being judged or timed than a walk/trot competitor should ONLY be walking and trotting/jogging. This includes but is not limited to: HRC shows, non-HRC shows, dressage shows, Gymkhana shows, competitive trail rides, jump shows, schooling on showgrounds regardless of what you do in the show ring. This applies to horse and rider combinations. Ex. If a rider shows horse #1 walk/trot but gallops at a barrel race on horse #2 than he or she is within the rules. Failure to comply to these rules can result in barring from the walk/trot divisions and/or forfeiture of points. People who wish to file a complaint about a competitor who is not following the rules, must do so by filing a written complaint within a week of the incident. Thank for your consideration and continued support of HRC, Micaela Murphy HRC Show Manager Any questions you may email Micaela at hrcshows@yahoo.com |
